Topic: Russia crisis looming -- a new cold war? | |
---|---|
Russia is bouncing back and there are signs of a looming crisis between
Russia and the United States. Kosovo is coming into focus. Europe wants to see an independent Kosovo; Russia doesn't want to see it stripped away from Serbia. Where will this conflict lead? What might this mean for us and for the world? With its massive burden in Afghanistan and Iraq, will the US be able to respond? And what should its response be? |

The UN is there. They can handle it. We have no reason to be there. We
also have no reason to be in the UN. |

The Russians will tow the line due to the need for Western goods.
The chinese on the other hand ... watch them ... they are the next superpower - possibly the only one. |

Uh oh ... I take that all back ...
From the BBC website .. Moscow may target weapons at Europe if the US builds planned missile defence facilities in the region, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said. Russia has not pointed missiles towards Europe since the end of the Cold War. Last week, Russia said it had tested a ballistic missile to maintain "strategic balance" in the world. The US wants to expand its missile defences into Eastern Europe. It says the system is not aimed at Russia but Moscow says its security is threatened. Mr Putin made the comments in an interview published in Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera ahead of the G8 meeting which starts in Germany on Wednesday. If the American nuclear potential grows in European territory, we have to give ourselves new targets in Europe He repeated warnings that the US defence shield could lead to a new arms race but said it would the fault of the Americans if this happened. He said the US had "altered the strategic balance" by unilaterally pulling out of the anti-ballistic missile (ABM) treaty in 2002. ---- OH f'kin great .. here we go again ... |

Arms race? Yeah. Good one. What does it mean to aim an ICBM? Some
keystrokes on a keyboard? The Russian population will jump at the chance to have to stand in a bread line with their ration card again. I say we just pull out of Europe and let them take care of their own defense. Oh no! Don't go, Americans! You pump too much money into our economy! It would hurt us! Please stay, we love/hate you! To quote Fred, FUK them. FUK< FUK< FUK< FUK them. What is one more reason to bash the US. Defend your FUKING selves. Russia, a threat? Gawd.... |

Why so much fuss over a defensive system?
Unless you had plans for an offensive where the defensive system is being located? Perhaps we are spoiling those plans. |

Dont be fooled by the Russians. They are stronger now than they ever
were as the USSR. The anti missile defense shield we are putting up in western Europe (Poland and The chec republics) are claimed to be for defense against Iranian Nukes aimed at Europe. Thats what Condi Claims anyway! Russia has been building weapons with an emphasis on quality rather than quantity of late, and selling their older systems to the Chinese. There are still, between the US and Russia almost 2,000 Nukes(ICBM), aimed-?.. Russia needs the West. Hmmm, In WWII, The US took approx 450 thousand deaths. Russia 24 million. And, they still came out of the war as a superpower. Do not underestimate the Russians.. Big mistake as Britain should know. |

Yes, it would be a serious mistake to underestimate Russia, they are a Super, super power, with Cosmospheres, 1000's of manned space balls, with electro-magnetic pulse weapons in them. they are all over the place floating above us. there is an interesting little story that goes with this--a few years back when there was G-7 summit meetings, Russia said ,no we will have a G-8 summit meetings, and supposedly ,Japan said NO! and after a few days of the buildings shaking in Japan, Japan said AH SO!! and Russia became a G-8 member.

Another reason Russia is powerful, They do not have a federal reserve system,to bleed them dry, I understand their rubles are backed by gold , some have mentioned the idea of having the ruble as the coin of the realm. But ,I am in favor of having our own Constitutional money system, instead of the unconstitutional federal reserve, which is about the same worthless as monopoly money, and is constantly inflated , to steal all the hard work you thought you saved up. We can be powerful again if we get rid of the federal reserve.

Hey, the cold war was never cold. Behind the scenes, it has been a game of chess with the big guys. Why do you think we seem to be fresh out of spy sattelites? and are using drones? And just how do you suppose the weather has been so weird lately? Hey, you did not think that those space shuttles just fell out of the sky? this thing is bigger than it looks like It is my understanding that they even laugh about it as one takes a jab at the other one, just a game to them. Hilarious even!! But behind all the sides , this snake has a head, about five people.( not all men) Time to put them on trial. they are not invisible, one might even be a celebrity of sorts. When enough of us wake up , they will be running for cover.
