Does anyone know the basic difference in how men and women think about each other. Let me explain it for you...............a man and a woman meet, fall in love, and in the usual course of "things" will marry to live together happily ever after or so they think. But things really happen this way---the man will look at the love of his life. He says to himself, "I love her just the way she is. I hope she never changes." BUT she always does change. The woman will look at the man in her life and say to herself, "I love him as he is but I can improve him" Of course the man never changes!

Another generalization...some us are of an age where we know that we can't change someone..and know someone can't change us. Therefore, more allowing and acceptance comes into play...

This is so far off it hurts......... let me explain it for you .............someone is feeding your mind with crap men and women are like night and day in some ways but in others ways we all want someone that we can relate too someone that understands us for who we are someone that loves us for whom we are not for what they want us to be. Someone that will stick beside us through thick and thin but will let us be ourselves as well. All the books in the world or all the studies will never be able to pin point each person down for who they are for each person is unique within there own way..............

I've never once looked at a man and thought about how I can improve him.

This is so far off it hurts......... let me explain it for you .............someone is feeding your mind with crap men and women are like night and day in some ways but in others ways we all want someone that we can relate too someone that understands us for who we are someone that loves us for whom we are not for what they want us to be. Someone that will stick beside us through thick and thin but will let us be ourselves as well. I completely agree with you.... his statement is a man's point of view that I have heard a few times, but I'm not buying it....I think everybody changes to some extent, yet i do think our basic nature is mostly stable.....I've always said I want someone who 'gets me' which is essentially what you are saying....and the stick beside us through thick & thin part you wrote is right on!!!
