get suspicious of someone who says they "can't remember" alot. It seems when I am with a crowd of women and they are talking, like for example today, they were talking about delivering their babies, they could remember that they were before there due date or after, I dont' remember stuff like that, and it bothers me, I only remember I gave birth, I didnt' keep track , like I dont' even know when my mom died, like the year,,,is this abnormal or just stupid.

I know when my kids were born and really important stuff, but some stuff women talk about just bores me. I must be abnormal.

Some people have a head for every little detail- its just how they are wired-
some people don't- everyone is different- you remember what is important to you and thats all that matters

I think stressful demanding lives can make it easy to forget details.\ Having foggyness about delivery is not unusual considering the fatigue and medication you sometimes endure. We often block out details about tramatic events. |

I have the opposite...crystal clear memory for the profoundly significant stuff...blissful or difficult... but can't remember **** from a sandwich about the day to day doldrum stuff. |

I can remember things from way in my past,somethings I liked to forget,but sometimes when I go into the kitchen I can't remember what i went in there for.
Don't beat yourself up over it tho. |

I have a TERRIBLE memory, it makes it very difficult at my work and in my social life sometimes. Now whenever someone says to me "do you remember.." I say "no" before they finish there sentence. I would LOVE to have a decent memory.

I dont remember a lot of things from high school and my 20s. Not that I have a bad memeory,I sort of pushed all that out of my mind until I just naturally dont remember. Of course it comes back to me sometimes if I think about it long enough, but most of the time I just dont care to try to remember anything beyond just a few year ago

Sounds like my ex lol. Not everyone can remember all the things that happened in there lifetime. Don't let it bother you just remember what you have today. It's not abnormal or stupid. It is just life and the weird way it works. |

I know people who can name every teacher they ever had, I remember maybe 3 of mine. Sometimes I feel weird for not remembering more details...Remember when the game Trivial Pursuit (I swear I had to stop and think of the name of the game) came out? A bunch of my friends and I used to play and by the end of the game (there was drinking involved) they were doing charades to try to get me my first piece of the pie!!! I remember most of what I need to and make lots of lists!!
