Topic: Who was/is your coolest family member? | |
---|---|
In this topic, describe who is (or was) your coolest family member. An example is I hear people talk about their favorite uncle or aunt, etc. Describe why they stood out, and what you liked about them! My grandma Mayva, was the most amazing grandma anyone could have. She would let me have second servings on ice cream when I was a kid, and was always up late like myself. Twice a week, she and I would watch WWE wrestling. She was more into wrestling than me, lol! She also liked heavy metal music. I actually played Slipknot in her car and she said they are very talented, they will make it big. She has met numerous celebrities before they got big such as, Chris Farley and Macho Man Randy Savage. She would always put out food for stray cats and dogs, and if she could, she would probably take care of them all! She also got people nice presents for the holidays, even though I knew she couldn't really affors it. She died about two years ago of dimentia. She was the coolest grandma anyone could ever have! |

This is a tough one but I'm going with my sister Robin. We are polar opposites. She spends her life flying by the seat of her pants. No plans, no direction, no decisions but damn if she doesn't always have a smile on her face. I admire and envy her all at the same time. I am one of the most practical, logical, rational, boring people I know and she is a breath of fresh air.
If I had one wish, it would be to change places with her just for a week to see what living like that feels like. |

My immediate family, especially my siblings are a very dysfunctional lot! Most of don't speak from one end of the year to the other and don't care that much when we do. My baby sister is the closet to me so I guess that makes her the coolest - for knowing enough to LIKE ME!!! I sooo rock!!!
Had a great uncle and super grandparents too. |

Well according to my little sister and my nieces and nephews I'm the cool one the one they like to party with and talk to because I don't judge them and we all have a great time together... But .........I think my brother and his wife, my little sister and my nieces & nephews are guess we just have a lot of cool ones in my family
On my B-day it was all my nieces, nephews, sister, son & daughter on the cruise ship partying in the bar together we had a blast the others were already in bed <---------------------------- |

Hands down...it's my mom. She is my best friend. I can turn to her with anything. My oldest sister is a close second.

My paternal and maternal Grandfathers-
challenged me to explore my world...fed me books, stories, experiences through the written word...dragged me out into the natural world....got down on their arthritic knees and explained ant colonies...showed me that in life we are all a part of the ALL. My Aunts and Uncles- Gave the cuddles and the winks- gave me discreet love and acknowledgement. My Children- OMG! Taught me how to be real.... demanded fiercely honesty, love, and acceptance. My Sisters- Not one of them biological, not one of them shares a surname....but these women in my life, in my 'Familia'....love me when I have forgotten how to love myself....hold me when I cannot hold it together any longer...support me, when I have stumbled. |
