First, I want to say that I am the LEAST homophobic person I know, but something a lil odd just happened to me on another site. I was approached by a woman (whom I've never seen before) who absolutely gushed about my profile & pix. On this site you cannot tell if they are looking for a gay, straight, or bi relationship & her profile told very little about her. She said she wanted to get to know me better & become friends...
What do you do when approached by a member of the same sex when their intentions are not entirely clear...I do not want to insult this woman...but frankly, I didn't know how to reply... |

Ask her the proverbial question we al get asked a million times -- what are you looking for? |

OMG, sounds like something that happened to me here.
I totally saw this chick as a friend. but she wanted something more. I didn't realise it until I had already made the fateful mistake of giving her my phone number. all this while I was very public about my relationship with someone else from here. eventually it got beyond disturbing when she started texting me about suicide and sending me pictures of her scars and telling me she was depressed and in pain. I walked away pretty damn quickly. I hear she left Mingle... |

If you decide to be open to the idea of friendship(only), you might want to ask how her luck in men have been on that particular site, and how much you hope your luck is better there.(not that you need any luck...you look fine enough like it is). Just an idea... |

I should also say that she mentioned she's got a sound room, 3 mic's, a guitar, bass, mandolin, & a...um...organ...I kid you not! There is NOTHING on my profile that says I'm musically inclined...
