It is very frustrating to say the least! I mean you are calling cause something is wrong in the first place and they are no help at all!

I had beyond excellent customer service last month with my Cox Communications Technician I called up.
Got a little hot in my apartment from the phone call... I don't know how it happened but I was blushing all over when he said stuff like "I am trying to use my tool to service you but it just won't let me in" And "It seems your router is not responding to my probes" |

BUT...your call IS important to us!
I was a phone rep most of my working years. As a rep for Alabama Power, (yes I was who you called to report your power out in the middle of the night-THAT was always fun) and then for Blue Cross. I was SUCH a great phone rep. It really sucks to be so good as something you hated so much! |

The Geico service rep was really awesome when I joined them a few months ago. I got a free caveman bobble head too!
I'm normally patient with the service at places because after working at McDs for 4 years, you know exactly what the servers are going through. |

No problem being patient, but there is no excuse for being downright rude. |

I think the only good customer service left is at McDonald's Pffft, I need to start visiting the ones in your neck of the woods; all the ones I go to are slow as hell and they have surly employees. |

Everywhere I have went today the customer service was lousy. I went to the library asked for help in finding something after I tried on my own. The librarian was mad because she had to get off the internet. I'm thinking, WTF is your problem, that's what they pay you for. She was probably on Mingle trying to post something Customer Service is a joke these days, their first reaction is to try to point that you are wrong or did something wrong and if they realize it wasn't then they are rude or make you run around to more people that won't help until you get tired and leave them alone. When i do get a professional and courteous person i always make sure they know how i appreciate their effort. |

The librarian was mad because she had to get off the internet. I'm thinking, WTF is your problem, that's what they pay you for. I went to the store, and something I picked up would not register in the computer so someone had to go find the correct price. They had an attitude about that. At the docs office, the nurses no longer make appts. for referrals. When you do it on your own the referral docs receptionist asks why didn't your doc call us. I say, That's a good question. But I can't answer that. The only place that the customer service was decent was the gas station. The clerk was very nice and polite. I seems I lucked out. My question is have you noticed the decline in courteous customer service? Gas stations...we HAVE to be polite, or we get fired. Not really, but more often than not we are polite because our job is that damn easy. Think about it, librarian has to sequence all of the books in a catalog according to the alphabet, bigger stores have to walk clear the hell out to the end to figure out the price, and doctors sweat when they do surgery...what do we clerks do? Smoke weed and help the customers. |

Or that could just be my overactive imagination... |
