I worked for acorn, it was a good little tree company, but he always paid us cash at the end of the day to avoid taxes, too bad im computer illiterate and cant get the video to work, id love to see some of my old co-workers cuttin down trees.

Under cover filmaker has Acorn on tape. One episode has the filmaker telling an Acorn rep that he is a prostitute when asked of his employment. The rep told him to put down that he does natural art and that he could even write his clothes off for his business. The filmaker then tells the Acorn rep that he is bringing in several 13 year old girls from El Savador to work as prostitutes. The Acorn rep tells him he can write them off as dependents. Another rep tells him to teach them how to take care of themselves and keep their mouths shut.

I would avoid the tax scam too, if I could get away with it. On a purely moral/ethical level, taxation=theft. (people find all sorts of ways to justify it, sadly ) Irwin Schiff wrote a book years ago on why the income tax is illegal and how to avoid it...now he's in jail for tax evasion, and his son owns a very successful financial advisory company. :(

I've been aware of their St. Louis doings for awhile. Over the years, they've turned over vacant houses to low income people here. They helped make it where companies had to clean-up their toxic chemicals and dumping practices. They started programs that got developers to hire unemployed people. They got police to respond better to rapes in low income neighborhoods and started rape prevention programs. And more.
