my opinion is to take chris's last name .why?Because then you can change
the stigma associated with the name and make it one your kids can be proud of.You can change your name all ya want but the past is in your memory so it wont solve the underlying issue.Keep the name,change the legacy. |

Guys last name whether you like it or not. I believe in traditional ways
of doing things, and heck, my last name is Loudermilk. Do I really like it? No, but I WANT my wife to take my last name. To me, it shows respect. |

if you do decide to change to a neutral new name then
perhaps "Love" would be a nice choice. it is not too weird - expresses your common bond and gets away from history to start a new branch of the tree however, choosing another name from the family tree is also a good idea as is combining names in some fashion there are no bad answers though - you are who you are and so fortunate to have found each other Congratulations! |
