As an American, which his mother is, wherever she happens to be when her baby is born, if it's 2 miles under the ocean, in Moscow, in Columbia, in Tibet, in Tasmania, it is of NO IMPORTANCE. Any child born unto an American IS AMERICAN.

not true. The birth still has to happen on American soil for you to be born an American. If you and your wife are in germany on vacation and she gives birth, but not on american soil, be it amilitary base, a consular, an American Embassy, etc. then the U.S. considers the child to be German. NOW, BECAUSE the parent(s) are Americans and live in America, then they can have their child naturalized almost at the snap of a finger, but he is still legally a naturalized American citizen, not American born. This issue comes up every once in a while with the military soldiers. the mother goes into premature labor while thy are out and away from base; they ca not get back to base in time so they end up in a local hospital. The child is not American Born.

I DO agree with you however, that all this nonsense about President Obama and whether or not e is a Natural Born American is absolutely disgusting and nothing but people trying to feed the fires of dissent. It needs to stop.
