Topic: If God passed you by? | |
---|---|
wonderman37,
Don't even bother, it's not worth it. Abra said that Jesus isn't God. Adventurebegins claims I am not of God and then commits blaspheme. They will not be called on anything they say, but I know that any responses we make won't be treated kindly. |

Spider this is not a debate it is a forum.
I put out a question not a statement of fact. I did not say you were not of God, on the contrary I stated that if you passed by me on the street God would have also passed by for He is in you. You then quoted a phrase from the bible and I ASKED you if you thought you were not of God. It is my humble opinion that you are. As are we all. Answer me or not is your option. I attack not yet you defend by offense. Why? |

Spider you're hilarious..but I know what He meant by that.
You make me wanna roll on the floor laughing. |

Umm I was referring to his first post everyone -_- sorry

AB,
I misread your post, I didn't realize you were asking a question and I thought you were saying that I wasn't of God. I've tried the "nice debate" thing before and I was told "This isn't a quote the Bible contest". I can't say anymore without starting a fire-fight and I really don't want to do that. I can't state my opinions without being attacked, so why do it? I probably shouldn't have posted in the first place. |
|
|
|
This then I will say in proof.
For if you have ignored even the least of them you have ingnored me. I can not quote this as I do not have the bible memorized but I am sure spider could find the quote it pertains to. God is allways amoung us he is all things. Blasphemey Websters 1 a : the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God b : the act of claiming the attributes of deity 2 : irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable In reference to 1: In what way have I ever been irreverant, shown contempt or insulted God? How could I ever claim the attributes of God I am only in me God is in all things the greater is he by an amount I can not even measure. In reference to 2: In no way have I ever been irreverant toward the sacredness or inviolable essence that is God. |

I state my opinions and beleifs in the face of actual threads that
attack me personaly with out a doubt by name. You on the other hand seem to feel that if a persons opinion does not agree with yours they are attacking you. If you do not post because you don't want to that is one thing. If you do not post because you have been attacked for how you believe you are puting a lie to your covenant with God. Are you not supposed to endure the stings a barbs of the unbelieviers and preservere. |

I pass God on the street all the time and yes I knew he was there ...
Just yesterday, at a cemetary, I saw God experiencing grief. On Wednesday at an outdoor market, I saw God experiencing compassion and charity. When my friend forgave the man who murdered her 19 year old son for having a date with his ex-girlfriend, I saw God. My vision of God is that He runs through everything and He experiences through us. Sometimes I am a witness, sometimes an active participant ... all perspectives of experience. All part of the whole... |

Yahshua said the kingdom of heaven is before you. His creation is
Elohim's way of showing us who he is. Infinte. Someone spoke of discernment i believe if Yahshua walked by i would feel his spirit. But Yahshua can not come back to earth until he comes with power. So if someone says he is here or thier believe it not. It can not be all will see him when he comes back. Miles |

MY OPINION by SpiderCMB
The Holy Spirit is only poured out onto believers, who are saved through the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a teacher and guide, who helps us to understand scripture, convicts us of our sins and helps us to grow in the footsteps of Jesus. The feeling that one receives when witnessing an act of kindness or when one does the right thing, that is their own spirit leaping for joy that they have obeyed God or witnessed obiedience to God. The Bible is clear that the Holy Spirit is dispensed to those who love and serve Jesus, not to every person. We are each made in the image of God (ie, we have a spirit), but that does not mean that each of us is the temple of God. Jesus taught that only those who love Him and keep his commandments would become the dwelling place of God. Those who are in Christ will see God the Father's face, but no other created thing ever will, including angels. This is what, I believe, offended Satan so much that he would rebel: the thought that beings made of dust would see the face of God, while he could not. We know from John 6:46, that ONLY ONE has ever seen God's face: Jesus. Read Isaiah 6:1-3 below... Isaiah 6:1-3 ------------------------------------------------------------- In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory." ------------------------------------------------------------- The Angels are using four of their six wings to protect themselves from seeing God. While they are in His presence at all times, they never look at Him. |

|
|
When Jesus returns, it will be visible throughout the whole world.
There will be no doubt in anyone's mind what has happened. Matthew 24:27 -------------------------------------------------------------- For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. -------------------------------------------------------------- Revelation 6:16 -------------------------------------------------------------- and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; -------------------------------------------------------------- |

If the Holy Spirit is poured out only to a believer in Christ explain
pentacost. There were many that did not beleive but the holy spirit came upon them anyway. Do you really know your book? Or just the words written in it. |
|
|
|
AdventureBegins,
Pentecost was the Holy Spirit being poured out onto believers; they had already given their lives to Jesus. You have to read Acts 1 to know who is being talked about in Acts 2, it's the one hundred and twenty believers who were living in Jerusalem. |
|
|
|
And the more than 2000 unbelievers that felt that spirit. Where they
not also present? Does a child need declare through Christ to have in them the Holy Spirit? Should I deny if I feel the Holy Spirit that it is within me because another intreprets the the Word of God to say it is not there? Does a Moslim not have the Holy Spirit simply because they follow the words of the Comfortor (which Christ said he would send) and not the letter of the churches claiming to be of Christ. (Moslims accept the proofs of Christ but follow the message of the Seal of the Prophets). Does an American Indian not have the Holy Spirit because they Follow the Great Spirit and not the Son? I say to you that Pentacost was the open door. It has never been closed. The Holy Spirit has flooded the earth by Grace and it will continue to bring Gods children to him till all be fulfiled. |

AdventureBegins,
All of the people witnessed the believers each speaking in their own languages, praising God. So whatever language the believers were speaking, the listener heard it in their own language. The non-believers didn't experiance the Holy Spirit personally, they witnessed the believers in the grip of the Holy Spirt. Then while the 120 believers continued to praise God, Peter gave a sermon based on the Book of Joel. Yes, 3000 people were saved that day, but they were saved because they witnessed the Holy Spirit at work on the Believers, not because they had personally experianced the Holy Spirit. It's all described in Acts chapter 1 and 2. |
