i have a different perspective. one can only know love when it is given to them unconditionally. ![]() I don't think that is correct. I know people who are loved unconditionally but they don't know love themselves. (A tiny baby is a good example, loved unconditionally by its mom.) You must love someone else unconditionally besides yourself, in order to know love. but that is like saying you must love somebody to love somebody.... ![]() love is a mutual thing ![]() ![]() ![]() |

But I am not saying that you must love somebody to love somebody. I am saying in order to KNOW LOVE (to feel it and know what it is) you must feel it in yourself for others. You must LOVE. Have you ever loved someone unconditionally who did not love you? You just loved them and wanted the best for them, no matter what, getting nothing in return for that love? No one can stop you from loving someone else unconditionally. Everyone in the world could love you, but if you did not love anyone else, you do not know love. You cannot know or realize LOVE until you experience and feel love for others. |

Similarly, one cannot know or experience love (mutual love) without receiving it as well....

Things only 'matter' when we decide they do. What matters is personal. The flavor of my statement of "Nothing matters" was a response to a feeling of powerlessness in the over all scheme of the universe and the law of cause and effect. Like "Things happen." Things happen, and sometimes they are out of our control. One must accept what is and stop stressing out over it. Cheers! ![]() |

Its all a bunch of bull. NOTHING MATTERS. (Not exactly as you put it but correct fundamentally) I am glad someone else came to their senses Read Allan Watts ![]() You evidently have little understanding of Alan Watts. His teaching was basically Buddhist/Taoist. They are not, contrary to what some westerners with limited understanding think, Nihilists and neither was Alan Watts. He taught that the universe "matters" and "energys" in the same way that planets like our own, "people" and apple trees "apple". So, yeah, if anything matters to you, then "it" matters. |

Nothing matters.
No thing matters. No thing matters more. No thing matters more than. No thing matters more than me. No thing is me. No thing is. Nothing matters. ![]() ![]() |

Nihlism is unhealthy for you. NOTHING MATTERS. ![]() ![]() But you're right. Nihilism certainly does not offer much incentive to be healthy. ![]() |
