What would be your first thought if you looked at a profile and someone listed one of their interests as "Eugenics".

would take the dictionary out, I'm not native English so lots of time have to use the dictionary.

Maybe this is out of context but I would think that they were looking for a suitable partner to "breed" with... someone who they thought would make good children, like a doctor.

In a recent discussion at work(hospital) I brought up the idea that one reason we might be having an such a high rate in children's and adult diabetes is that diabetics survive long enough now to have children and pass on the genes for it.

in that ^^ case, i guess i'd figure they would take one look at the size of my nose (and my arse) and pass me on by.

this may not be a rational response but it would be my first one...

Eh, I'd probably just pass it on by. Too many fish in the sea to mess with someone that doesn't peak my interest.

I'm type 1 Diabetic and have no kids so no worry there, but that won't change anything because the children of my brother and sister might be Diabetic it's hereditary in the family not only from the one that as Diabeties.

I'd think they're studying it, like a doctor continues to study at a learning hospital. If that weren't the case, I'd be thinking CYA, don't wanna be ya..

Some of my interests are: random blurbs, making fun of stupid people, watching grass grow, cow tipping, roller coasters, studying the effects of intestinal combustion, Snippeling, crawfish racing, peanut butter jar collecting, trying to find the end of the internet, flapjack frisbee, Dachsund juggling, listening to country music songs backwards-so you get all your stuff back, wearing kilts on windy days..

Hummm I would think they are looking for that perfect person with no flaws within their hereditary and wish them luck on that one. But then I sure would not have to worry about that lol I'm too old to benefit anyone by giving them kids. But I would almost be curious enough to even ask them about their profile anyway. For it could be totally different then what we had even thought.

One never knows what one means unless they ask the person themselves....

pattern for ME to find them someone I would like to be with,,as a partner in life.. A super race,,or that much thought as to WHO, or WHAT a unity would deliver as their infant,,,,,way to much THINKING for me.. Just my thoughts,,wink
