i found that the more my ex talked up other woman and put down the way i looked, the less i even bothered to try to look good anymore, at least when we were together. i still dressed up to go to work and/or out with friends.
i know feeling good and sexy is supposed to come from within but when your partner, and supposed best friend, is putting you down, one must feel as though some of it, at least, is true, no? anyhow, it was the beginning of the end for us. |
