Four of the girls in my family had b-days in August, so instead of a party, we'd set up the tent in the backyard & have a camp-out. Of course, the boys in the neighborhood would also camp out...then sneak over in the middle of the night & pee at the door of the tent... I learned at a very young age to always wear shoes when venturing out for a tinkle of my own!

I remember when it wasn't summer until they broke into the garage and stole my bike. Or when my friends would fight amongst each other, trying to put me in the middle. Yeah, those were the days... precious memories... On the other hand I always looked forward to the vacations to the ocean. |
