Topic: Almost Honest | |

Well, it is part of social norms to be polite, which requires dishonesty. If someone asks you "am i fat?" how often do they truly want to hear, "yes you look like shamuu?" As such, people try to be polite, and sometimes too much so; othertimes, it's because they are selfish. either way, honesty is not always the best policy ( and i have often found this to be true for those who always say they want an honest response). One can be polite and not dishonest. Short and simple. Thank you Fran... my head is hurting from a sinus headache... no wonder I can't type straight! LOL |

If I could have him sit and hold me finger for the rest of the day I would! Well I have done enough goofing off... see ya'll tomorrow! |

One can be polite and not dishonest. Very true. I don't think some people realize this. They think in order to be nice or polite, they have to lie. |

I am digging this back up ... because it is something that has come up many times in conversations before and after I orginally posted the topic. It is completely driving me 'batty'... well not really, but it is something that is still sticking around.
What is wrong with being honest? If you went out on a date with someone and didn't like them, you would tell them... 'I had a nice time, but I don't think this is going to work' If you meet someone and don't see yourself hanging out with them, but find them attractive sexually only... why can you say... 'I think that you are attractive and I would like 'xyz' but not a relationship' If you like someone and want a relationship or spend more time with them ect.... why not just say it! When people say that they are tired of games, I really think that they are saying that they are tired of being lied to. Now this thread might be coming across as a 'whining' thread, but I am just not getting it! |

People only want honesty as long as the answers are what we want. Otherwise...we just don't want to hear that we ain't good enough or incompatable in one reguard or another.

and that is why i go for old used up hookers.they never ask for honesty But all intentions are clear in that situation, aren't they? Right. If a men goes to solicit a prositute, it is clear that he is there to have sex (in whatever form) and that is it! He doesn't lead the women on to be believe that he is there for her intellectual conversation or to spend time with her correct. And if that is the case, it is only part of the fantasy. I personally would rather live in reality, not fantasy. |
