You need a comma.

...and, not intending to be rude, but might I also suggest a grammar makeover?
"How do you get known?"
???

I don't see any grammatical incorrectness in that question...

Im no expert at getting known on internet sites myself, i dont really know what i am doing. Take my intro thread for example, it only went about 60 pages long or something. So dont ask me, i have no clue.

You know, there ARE people who are known for spelling, grammer (or lack thereof) as well as for hilarious profiles, witty posts and all other manner of things!

** Appoint an agent.

**Make sure you are falling out of the most popular threads, drunk, whilst the paparazzi is there.

**Make sure you don't use any form of grammer, or spellcheck facilities.

**Always put your needs above anyone else's when creating a thread.

** Appear needy

**try to continue with poor grammer and syntax consistently in every post.

Well, technically, "get" would be used in the sense of "obtain," and, as "known," per se, is not something you would "obtain" ("publicity" or "exposure," yes, noun forms, of which "known" is not one), a better formulation would be "How does one become known?"

Ah lex, just the man to solve this misunderstanding... bigsmile

If it is incorrect to say "how do you get known?"...is it also incorrect to say "how do I get noticed?"

...?

Technically speaking, there's no difference. Although, if we're talking strictly auditory aesthetics, "get noticed" just SOUNDS more acceptable to me.

It's nit-picky, really -- I would use both "get known" and "get noticed" in normal character dialogue in a story and never think twice about it, because that's how people really talk.

But from a grammarian standpoint, we're bending the standard meaning of "get" just a little....

Get the picture?
