That is awesome. We are a football, basketball, baseball family. My older son got a scholarship for basketball and the younger one is concentrating on football. He will be a senior this year so we will see if he plays college next year. My boys still watch the little league world series I REALLY miss the High School days. My kids were so involved, guess maybe I miss BS-ing with the other parents What positions did your son's play? Baseball-- all were pitchers, 1 was center field, 2 were 1st base Football---Quarterback, Runningback Now they play Softball |

Actually he wants to work in the administration part of athletics. He just spent a year doing an internship at the university of California at Berkeley and he really liked the San Francisco area. At 24 he has seen more of this country than me but I guess that is the way it is with younger people today. No one stays in one spot. Haven't seen him in 7 months and that is another thing I have had to get use to. Oh, it would kill me...I am soooo blessed. All 5 of my kids live within a few minutes of me. We get to spend lots of time together. I also have 10 grand-babies. My kids haven't lived close to me in years...it's hard but you get used to it...always have a good time when we're together! |

Never had okra. But if its a veg. I would probably like it. I love veggies! Can you make gumbo with chicken or just leave out the shrimp? My niece made something like that once but I think she called it jambalaya or something like that. It was really good. Jambalaya is entirely different, but just as good! Cajun food, you can't beat it! 'specially the gator!..yummy How is it different? it's not a stew! |
