For once I may have to agree with Don, on the gumbo thing.But then I don't like fish or seafood at all.

Never had okra.But if its a veg. I would probably like it. I love veggies! Can you make gumbo with chicken or just leave out the shrimp?

Yeap you can have chicken with it :) Always good with some sauage in it too. It is really a Louisana dish it is like a soup in restaurant but we make it a bit thicker like a stew more veggie in it Stewed Tomatoes, onion, corn, okra. you can serve it over rice. Google it or Tim might can send you the recipe :)

Hi Everyone! I am new to Mingle. In fact I am new to all of this. I am recently separated after 29 years (my choice) and on my own with my high school age son. I have an older son who lives in Texas. I happened upon this site and thought it might be fun to meet some new people. Not ready for the dating part. Need to get life on track before I can bring someone else into it. I live in Southeastern PA, north and west of Philadelphia. Wondering if you would mind if I popped in to say hello and join in occasionally. I think this thread is great.

Hey ladies! Not going to be on for long tonight. Going to have a fire in the pit and roast hot dogs and make s mores. Beautiful cool weather again today after a hot day yesterday. Perfect night for it. How are ya all doin' today? Hope everyone has had a terrific day!
