Just wondering what everyone's take is on internet dating. To me it sees that there is more of a push towards sex sooner. Does everyone find this to be true? Why is this? Why can't we just spend more time getting to know the real person. Just because their profile says all the right words does not mean that is who they are. Does anyone else fill like this?

I completely agree with you! I feel that most men I have gone out with are expecting sex to happen way too soon and if I wanted that heck I could go down to the local bar. NOT what I'm looking for...

I get the same thing. Myself I feel date for a few months before even considering sex. Its so much easier to see the warning signs when you are not focusing on getting laid. |

To the OP: internet or real life .... I'm kicking the tires as soon as feel the vibe to know whether I'm buying the car. 
I know right away if someone will annoy the crap out of me or not, and if they have staying power (for a relationship). There is no cure for bad sex so let's just test that right away!

Sometimes the internet forces you to actually talk more/longer than if dating in real life, due to the distance. right but that is not actual dating that is just getting to know them. Dating is in person not online. You get an idea of them but unless it is in real time true answers are often changed to correct answers. |

In that sense you have gotten to know them without the clouding of uh let's say, tire kicking in the way. ok i see where you are coming from. I guess I just differ in that way. i don't feel I can communicate effectively unless I am in person. I usually find out more about someone when talking in person as opposed to online |

Word! And bad sex can just mean the two people are not sexually compatible regardless of level of experience. Although experience does tend to help
