Topic: Schools of Philosophy | |
---|---|
I myself am fairly new to philosophy, so to me it is far more interesting to read the history of these ideas, then to sit and ponder on the why's of uncertainty (which in the circles I study in, is an endless topic with more frustration then fun)
So maybe that also helps everyone understand my motivation with having a thread about the schools of philosophy Vs a thread about QM interpretations. By all means start a QM interpretations thread and I will do my best to steer FAR FAR away!!! haahah. Jeremy. |

Well I if you are wanting to talk about 'schools' of philosophy I guess I will avoid this thread as I don't know nuttin' 'bout that stuff.

Jeremy, darling:
Starting an Absolutely Scientific thread at a Dating Site would be most selfish (not to mention Elitist)!!! For it will exclude most of the members of the site...* * * * * * As if you don't have enough of the professional Scientific sites for that purpoose... (I guess, you need to quench your thirst for at least an intellectual superiority...) And what's the better place for that than a Singles Site populated mostly by people who've already forgotten everything they've studied, or from another field of life all together... Well, I guess, if you'r content communicating with other men -- didn't see many ladies joining your thread -- then MORE POWER TO YA! I guess, some people are lucky: Having lost a certain phisical capacity, they may devote all of their (or is it "there"? LOL) time to such useless things as philosophy, QM Uncertainty, etc. -- anything except of the primary purpose of this site, i.e. bringing people together via a Social Communication that doesn't exclude anybody!!! |

Darlin... You must be reading a different thread than I, because what you have been stating here does not even fit what has been written. Perception is a funny thing. |

IBYP, do you mind clarifying your argument? ? ?
|
|
|

No argument here... just an observation.

...didn't know you have the teeth for carrots -- since you don't have 'em for indicating the specifics to me!
Well, at least pass the mash potatoe... |

I would like to show you another prespective based upon your recent words, but I fear that you would take the post personally, when it would not be meant that way. It would be just my thoughts upon the context, relative to my own understanding. Peace! |

It would be just my thoughts upon the context, relative to my own understanding. Peace! Sweetheart, I wish you put some substance in your words -- rather then talking pseudo-intellectual BS! So, I challenge you to indicate WTF are you talking about... (don't worry, I'm a "big" girl, I can take it from anybody, especially from you! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * |

1.)
*** I GUESS, THEY WILL BE AMUSED AT YOUR REFERRING TO THEM AS "CAVEMEN" ! ! !
This was written to Jeremy and is direct and clear evidence of the author wrongfully presupposing that Jeremy was calling Abra and I cavemen. He did not write anything about 'cavemen' Abra and I did. 2.) Yeah, post something he knows about -- Not what You know...
This was written to me and wrongfully presupposes that I know about QM moreso than Jeremy does. That thought had never crossed my mind because there had been no evidence which would lead me to that conclusion. In fact, I know little beyond the interpretation aspect! Besides that, there has not been enough reason given to substantiate warrant to believe that such a conclusion could be had, especially based upon the content of the threads. 3.) Jeremy, darling:
Starting an Absolutely Scientific thread at a Dating Site would be most selfish (not to mention Elitist)!!! For it will exclude most of the members of the site...* * * * * * Jeremy actually made earlier statements which clearly indicate that he has no interest in an 'absolutely scientific' thread. Here is what he just wrote earlier today which supports what I just wrote... Jeremy said...
By all means start a QM interpretations thread and I will do my best to steer FAR FAR away!!! haahah. Jeremy. Steering far away certainly does not imply intent to make an absolute scientific thread, nor can one logically deduce an elitist attitude from that! That false premise(elitist attitude) led to these false conclusions... I guess, you need to quench your thirst for at least an intellectual superiority... And what's the better place for that than a Singles Site populated mostly by people who've already forgotten everything they've studied, or from another field of life all together...
This presupposes that you know another's intent, which cannot(and has not) be(been) correctly concluded based upon the prior false premises! You see nothing after that 'elitist' claim(which happens to be a personal judgement) makes sense if the elitism is non-existent. Remove the false 'elitist' premise, and what you have is an ungrounded claim! Perception is a funny thing... |

He strolls into the theatre, looks around, then sits down to watch the show. The trailers peak little interest, but the arrangement is awesome!!!
It is a huge screen with deafening sound... piercing and penetrating the mind! He is hungry, and so gets up to go and buy popcorn. Upon coming back he suddenly realizes that he cannot eat it... OH MY!!! OH SHEEEEOUGHT!!! Are you kidding me? What to do? What to do? His mind scrambles and his heart begins to race... pumping faster... Faster..... Faster..... Fear sets in as he begins to panic... Sweat pours from his brow.... What to do??? What to do??? He left his denture cream at home, and damn those pesky kernels hurt! |

I am sorry for taking a while to respond, but while I was reading your long and winded post, I also received a few emails thanking me for voicing my concern.
As for your post, YOU ARE LUCKY I don't have time for going back -- checking who said what, and in what sequence... But clearly you've taken some of my comments out of context/sequence * * * Nevertheless, if you wish to challenge me on that, I'd gladly accept the homework of ferifying everything... P.S. Who else could Jeremy be referring to as "cavemen doing physics", if nobody except of you and Abra have been discussing the subject??? Are you suggesting he was referring to me? Naww, he's too much of a gentleman for that!!! |
