I've never purposely hurt anyone but I have pushed them away for fear of getting hurt. I think sometimes I'd rather hurt by getting rid of them first rather than getting hurt. I do think that is human nature though, at least for some of us...

yeah i was 14 and i broke up with him first because my friends convinced me he was going to break up with me.
i was young and stupid to the extreme. i never made it up to him. he was never going ot break up with me and i broke his heart. sometimes i still feel like i karmically pay for it. |

Apart from stupid teenage attitude I would never intentionally hurt someone just to cover my own insecurity. I would never want someone to hurt me so I will for sure not do it to them.
