And then they say that it's better for business owners, like bar and restaraunt owners to ban smoking because all the non smokers will "be able to come out" more often. Uh huh... yes. That lasted like a week. No we're all stuck smoking outside, IF we even go out that much... just to give more comfort to the non smokers that may... or may not come out.
I've seen many businesses in my area lose money hand over fist since the smoking bans were put in place. Some even had to close.

Jill,

I've paid for parking and taken my child to a restaurant and found heavy smoke there and had to leave because my child has asthma. This has happened quite a few times.

The same scenario has happened quite a few times when I go out to eat with my Father. He is an ex-smoker that has severe COPD and can't be around smokers either.

I don't mind smoking outside. I do it everyday.

I don't mind smoking outside either. It's the ban on everywhere that ticks me off. It's how people look at me like I'm just gross and going against everything good and right by smoking. It ticks me off.

We don't have a ban on it everywhere. We do have it on the Children's Hospital parking lot though.

I haven't noticed those looks, btw.

Again? Didn't we just argue this to 12 pages in political/news events?
