well he replaced some sort of Bering...and yes the first thing...it slowly comes up,,

Bearing. I see. I was reading this :

If a newly installed clutch is slipping, the most likely causes would be oil or grease contamination, incorrect release system adjustment, a defective cable adjuster, a blocked clutch master cylinder port or binding slave cylinder, a misaligned or improperly installed release bearing, or improper flywheel machining of a step or cup flywheel.

so maybe it is his fault after all...I mean I have not even had it back but about 2 weeks...

Definitely bring it back before too long, before they say it's your fault!

At this point with what you described, regardless of what it is. Take it back. Something he did isnt working. Its his responsibility to fix it. You payed an extreme amount of money to have it fixed. Get it fixed, not half fixed.

I got quoted $400 bucks to replace the clutch on my Honda. I bought all the parts and did it myself for $86 bucks. Most of what you are paying for is the 4-6 hours of mechanics time thats listed in the book. Make him fix it.

was it acting like this when you first got it back?
If no, do you have any fluids leaking, especially oil?

Asking this because it sounds like the clutch pads may be contaminated.

If it was acting like this when you first got it back, he may have gotten grease on them, if it started later..sounds like you may have a leak somewhere.

second. Did he also replace the throwout bearing??

I paid 600 dollars to have a new clutch put in my car...about 2 weeks ago...and it seems as if the clutch is sticking...and it is hard to put it in first gear...should I take it back to the fellow or will it loosen up with time..
the clutch may need adjusting. take it back and ask him they should do no charge, but if it was good mechanic may be shoddy work.! jmo
