Topic: So I got this flyer in my front door today | |
---|---|
It says there is a missing Chihuahua approx 3 lbs!!! Lost in my area. Asks, "please help me this is like a baby to me. Please help me bring her home". It kills me every time I glance over and lay eyes on it. I would lose my mind if Sophie ever got away from me.
Have you ever lost a pet? Did you get it back? |

how does anybody expect you to actually see a three pound dog? |
|

I don't know but my Shihtzu weighed about that when I got her and I remember how really tiny she was. It makes me crazy thinking about a little wee baby out lost by itself.

Yeah, animals like that weren't made to take care of themselves at all. At least I can hope the best for my cat if she were to get lost. She actually has gotten lost for a few days and made it back quite alright. But small dogs don't really stand much of a chance on their own. I wish them the best in finding their dog.

Yes, and both yes and no. Lost a Mini Pincer back in Wyoming (we all think someone took him, he pretty much roamed around the property and always stayed put)...lost one of my current dogs when he jolted out the open gate, he came home later on that night.

Someone stole my dog from my yard 15 yrs ago and I was heartbroken that I said I wouldn't get another....and haven't yet. |

|
Sniffy the Cat, when we moved from Denver to MI my girls were still looking out the window for her.

When I was in pre-k had my dog stolen out of the yard and never found her my brother and I searched the whole neighborhood. But we lived right down the street from a college so no telling where she ended up going.

Maaauuunnn....little dogs like that are not safe out and about...they are vulnerable to other larger dogs and cars. They are smart but, dumb about such things. They think they are great danes.
It would kill me to lose one of mine. I lost Chuy in another town once. I have no idea how he got out. I am very careful about that. I ended up staying there til well after mudnight til I somehow saw a shadow down the street while calling out to him and heard a faint noise. I walked to that point and it was him! He was injured. He was crawling back. I loaded him up and drove back home and sedated him and and babied him til he was well. It took about two weeks for him to heal. I still have him...he is wonderful. Kat |

oh I couldn't live knowing my doggy was lost!
I rescued my dog from the pound about 10 years ago now. (you should all go to the pound and save one!) Best dog in the world. He even smiles! (you tell him to smile and he shows all his teeth like he's growling) He is real smart too. He just knows things without having to be trained. hope they find their Chihuahua! |

Yes I did, and no I did not. It was an indoor tabby cat that was the only cat I've ever really cared for. He got out and was never seen again. There were lots of raccoons in the area. I've always figured he met up with one...

That's crazy! 2 days ago I found a lost dog flier in my mailbox! They're offering a $500 reward for a tiny Maltese (looks a little bit like your Sophie)...I thought to myself..."It will be a miracle if they ever find that lil guy"...

raccoons kill cats? Raccoons are nasty little creatures that often are rabid. |
