My Conure Parrot "Sammy" has had a really bad stroke.

He probbly won't make it. I have been holding him on my lap in a towel.

He is a very old bird and has out lived his two previouse owners.

He had two small strokes last year, and one small one earlier
this year. He recovered from them.

This one was much worse. He can no longer talk, move his legs, or
wings. He can move his head and tail, and can still look at me.
I do not believe he will still be here in the morning.

I figure the best thing I can do for him at this point is just hold him and talk to him, he is sleeping now.

I know they can't live forever, just sometimes I wish they could.
I really love this crazy old bird.

I know how you feel. Sorry to hear he won't make it, but everything must go in time no matter how much love we have for them. It hurts, I know. But they will always be in your heart.

He has a very large vocabulary.

I am really going to miss him talking to me, and
giving his birdie kisses.

I have had him, lets see... I believe nine years.
For which I am thankful for having had him that long.

I am soooo sorry...they become like a part of the family...
