Do you tend to make assumptions about people you don't know? Or, do you ask questions and get to know them first?  I assume that they are out to get me and I hide from them

Do you tend to make assumptions about people you don't know? Or, do you ask questions and get to know them first? I actually pride myself in not making general assumptions about people. I try to take them at face value at first and reserve my opinion until I get to know them better. I wish more people did that. I find it funny that so many people feel the need to jump on someone (especially on sites like Mingle) because they write or speak something that is outside the norm... or what they think is outside the norm, without taking time to figure out who the person is, not just what they say. I've always thought that it is better to open your mind and keep your mouth shut, and you can learn a lot that you'd have never guessed. Eh... ironic post, I'd say.

Why? Because you were bothered by me responding to someone's rate me thread for some reason? That's the only thing I can think of. I'm bothered by the fact that you are slightly funnier than me...! It's not fair, I work hard at being funny. I have studied the works of the great mingle² comedians like Cottonelle and Waterloosunset. And here you come outta nowhere and out-funny me. No need to panic, it's safe to assume she wants the position, as her earlier display of enthusiasm and zest for making assumptions is any indication. I think I'm wanted for a past due parking ticket in Assumption Parish, but thanks anyway.  Maybe it was Tererabone Parish, instead. It's been a while.
