What have you got for your day today?



My kids got up and made me waffles, sausage,cheezy grits, and milk and
coffee for breakfast....
then they cleaned up the kitchen and picked up the entire house... and
dusted! OMG!!

then we all got dressed and my son mowed the yard till the lawn mower
died (we still are unsure why.. we are working on that)
we cut down dead branches in the trees, cut back branches off the house,
blew off all the crap that collects on the roof from the trees.....

I'm hot, dirty, grimey, and I LOVE IT!....

I have talked with my mother, my grandmother, and my favorite brother (i
have six of them) called me and wished me good tidings....

And to top it off, the ASTROS WON TODAY YEAH!!!!


I have to say, this has been the best mothers day so far!
now... I'm off to the shower and then I'm gonna have a beer or two and
wait for my "spousal unit" to grill the meat and make the pico de
gallo... I'm gonna lay in my hammock and enjoy!

Diaper duty

Im not a Mom but I can tell you what I got mine . We each chipped in
$100 for a Zales gift card . There are 5 of us . She actually cried when
she opened it . Then she went out to lunch with my Father .

I specifically told everyone NOT to get me a thing... I wanted yard time
today with them

We went to church. My ex gave my son $20.00 to take me out to lunch.
My son picked Wendy's (I guess it is better than McDonald's :-) Then we
went to my mom's for a bit, and then home to hang out. It has been one
of the best Mom's Days I have had. No stress, No fights, and very
relaxed.

I got breathless tales of adventures had by my kids who were away with
their big sister at a Rodeo, and then out on a farm..

I got lucerne in pockets and sand in socks.

I got dusty kisses, and big faced yawns.

I got to smell horses and kittens, puppies, sunshine and dust on my
kids.

I got hugs and smooches and sleepy smiles,

Every day is Mother's day for me..and they know it...no Hallmark
obligations for them.

My son had a friend sleep over last night, so i had an extra kid on moms
day but that was great with me (his mom lives outta state and he hardly
sees her)
We all went to church this morning and then came home and made a big
dinner together then watched a movie!

got cards made from my oldest kids the baby woke me up with a kiss, the
hubby made me breakfeast in bed and gave me the hole day off. to do enny
thing I please.

that is so awesome ya'll... I'm so glad everyone is having a good
mothers day.. even if they are stressing you out.. just grab em and give
them a huge hug and kiss!

LOL my day started at 5:00am -.-, caugh a cold, couldnt sleep during the
day cause my uncle came over. Had to bring the bf back at the military
base for 6pm, went to a family dinner, and now i am home

Oh and then found out that my grand-a is gonna be hopitalized for test
-.-
