both should be ready to act. putting all the pressure on guys doesn't make sense these days, or maybe ever. women are always talking about equality and junk, so stop talking about it and live it. put as much effort into starting something up as a guy would. i can say from experience that many chicks have no clue how to start the conversation though. but guys are more forgiving about that than women are.

Personally I am bit of an old fashioned modern gurl in some ways so I like gentlemen who make the first move, open doors etc.

I prefer it; in this way, I get to pick whether to call, write, approach, etc., those who interest me, rather than the other way around, with a chance I won't reciprocate what they feel. |
