What is the point of being??? Is it simply to live breed and die??? I hope the point to being isn't breeding, because if it is then I missed the point. I personally feel that the world is already like WAY over populated. Rabbits and rats can breed. Are humans no different from rabbits and rats? Sometimes I think not. I'm sad to say.

Well from a purely biological standpoint, yes. We are animals ourselves. We have evolved to a level of sophistication that surpasses our ancestors but that does not change the fact that we have an imperative to reproduce and proliferate the species like any other mammal. Back when we were being chased down by saber tooth tigers and everything else, breeding with impunity and guarding those offspring was an absolute necessity. Now its just a problem like you say.

In fact, God not only created us..... but created each one of us ...so unique.... that He even gave each one of us our very own unique set of fingerprints..unlike anyone elses.

In fact, God not only created us..... but created each one of us ...so unique.... that He even gave each one of us our very own unique set of fingerprints..unlike anyone elses. The only command I remember the bible saying god giving at the time of creation was to be fruitful and multiply.

I think Rolling Stones would say Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll would be the point of being. I would refrain from the second one, but the other two is not bad if you find the right partner and music you enjoy

What is the point of being??? Is it simply to live breed and die??? We exist to explore existence. To be or not to be, that is the question. We either exist or we do not. There many ways and many forms of existence. We, as consciousness centers, explore these.

Not my original idea, of course, and it certainly can't be proven. Still, something about it strikes me as meaningful. Kinda self centered though.

If by having a point you understand having a purpose, then I would assume you agree that having one is not a guarantee for having it fulfilled. Yes, no? If yes, then it should be obvious that the purpose of life is to have fun, sex, enjoy one's life, procreate, bend the world to one's liking, and.... never die. Just because we don't seem to fulfill our purpose, doesn't mean it isn't a purpose of ours.
