honestly they are both smart and nice guys I just think they're young and let a few experiences jade them... at the point I jumped in was b/c Connie lost her husband and even though she used it as an anology the response was cold and rude.. then the mom's vs. professional women... I am both and don't ever expect a man to dig me out and make life better.. I've had offers but if I can't love the man, why use him...

I know why you did what you did, Prncs. And -as usual- you did so for honorable reasons.



However, the fact remains that what they posted was meant to be nothing more than inflammatory and hurtful to a segment of the populous (meaning women), which violates the forum's TOS. The fact that the same circular arguments kept going on for as long as the thread has been going only makes matters worse.

It's an issue for the mods to handle, plain and simple. The thread needs to be deleted, and the instigators of the thread need to be disciplined and or suspended.

It's simply not worth the stress and the drama. It really isn't.

You probably will. That's the main reason why I say NOT to reply to those instigators- you'll only make things worse for you. If the post in question is getting THAT malevolent in content, then you pretty much have to report it.

The same thing goes for that "Pessimism vs. Cynicism" thread in the General forum a little while ago- it was simply meant to press peoples' buttons, and a bunch of people (myself included) got caught up on the crap. It shoulda been reported and deleted before it got as bad as it did, but didn't.
