 I had a Gardening Gourmet Gift Basket delivered to my Mom today for Mom's Day and she just called me to cuss me out for spending money on her.
I kept it practical with a gardening tote complete with tools, gloves, and a few goodies to enjoy. Dried fruit, dipping sauce and pretzels and hand lotion for a bit of pampering after spending time in the garden....and she cussed me out!
I finally told her to enjoy and zippit. Does anyone have to go through this rigor with thier Mom? She makes me fel quilty for spoiling her...  But she loves it!

Nope. My mom is likely to complain that it wasn't what she wanted. I sent her a necklace with a pendant hanging on it that had her birth stone of blue topaz in it. It cost me about $400.00. And she called me to let me know that it poked her and caused her a rash. I told her I would take it to the jeweller and have it adjusted so that it wouldn't do that anymore but she went ahead and did it herself. She is hard to please, always has been. Gotta love her...lol |
