to say all so this is the best it gets. Why do we see things so negative, when it really is positive?

Almost everything is negative

Yes I agree, experiences, but we should overcome them.
Pats, not almost everything is negative |

i agree, however they cant be forgotten, hence altering your perception on things.

i think there truly are negative things, but it's what you do with it that matters. if you let it consume you, eventually, you will see everything negatively. it's not always easy, especially in today's society with all we hear on the news, but i believe positive attracts positive, it's all in the attitude.

to say all so this is the best it gets. Why do we see things so negative, when it really is positive? I tend to think it's a cushion for most of us...that way if the negative happens, we have prepared ourselves and if the positive happens, then we are happy and surprised... Of course that doesn't excuse any of that constant negative thinking... |

Honestly, I think I have changed my perception on things. I am much more positive about life. I now think it is me still "thinking" about the worse, rather than me actually seeing it.

I think being pro active is the best attempt at being positive. Gotta remember this for myself. If he cheat's on you, dump his azz.

to say all so this is the best it gets. Why do we see things so negative, when it really is positive? Like how I worked 108+ hours, only grossed a little over 1100 but only got to take home about 938 after taxes? Or, how I had to decline health insurance, and all other benefits because I cant afford to pay for it, and I'm still waiting for a decent paycheck? |

Oh I totally agree. If anyone lies or cheats there is never a second thought.

I agree. I think life experiences taint our perceptions. At least they did for me for a long time. I plan on changing that!

Thank you all. I am trying to change it. But then certain things happen to go back. I need to be one way and not a double standard and life would be great.

It is human nature to want to fix things and make everything perfect for ourselves and those around us that we care about. As a result we focus on all the negatives in life... which in turn depresses us, because we really cant fix it all.
The only way to overcome this is to focus on the positive for part of the day. Christians do this by prayer... giving thanks. Other philosophies have you meditate and empty your mind. Its all about putting aside part of your day and focusing on the good stuff to keep us from being overwhelmed.... Everyone needs a break. |

Life is what you make of it.
If you think you are always gonna lose, and you have that mindset that you are always at the wrong place at the wrong time, well thats what probably is going to be the case. If you break that cycle, and take life with a grain of salt, with a "sh!t happens" and "dust yourself off and try again" attitude, well things will feel alot better. |

But do we ever get ahead with this attitude? I am trying to make it better, one way or the other. I don't want to act like I don't give a sh**. I have done that many time. |
