Do you think opposites compliment each other? are you attracted to someone who is like you?

It causes an attraction, but makes a long term relationship next to imposible

I'm attracted to a guy who would have at least some similar characteristics as my own...

Similar ideas about life, and morals in general...

I like to be complimented for what I lack. I don't think someone exactly like me would interest me at all. I would want them to have their own interests. Possibly even some I could grow fond of as well.

I like someone who is opposite of me possible can learn things from each other might make things interesting

...maybe opposite in some things but not all....i'd hate to be working my butt off for a woman that just wants to sit around on her lazy butt ..and not do a damn thing..i already had one of those.... ..and we wound up going in OPPOSITE directions...

We are not opposite, although in a mirror, it appears opposite, his strengths are my weaknesses....his weaknesses my strengths.... but we are so similar it is almost profound, if I bother thinking too hard on it.

Yes, and yes...which is pleasantly confounding, because she is quite unlike me in many ways, but in some areas we are much alike. Having the comfort of similarity is good, but the zest of unpredictability is very much there.
