I've been hit on by black men who are racist as they ONLY want to date white women. I have a friend who is Hispanic and SHE WILL NOT DATE HISPANICS.
To each his/her own on what they find attractive. Of course there is still racism. I see it with blacks looking down their noses at Mexicans, Mexicans snubbing blacks, and even different Asians snubbing and maligning other Asians, etc. It's unfortunate and not nice, but it's there. Makes me mad. And just when you get through to one person, another racist shows up in the gene pool.

I think everyone has their preferences for partners. I personally have dated individuals from different races, cultures and religions. My friends are also from different races, cultures and religions. So I guess it could be from preference and exposure. I know my basic wants and needs and dislikes in a relationship and if the person meets wants and needs, why not start a relationship. People are people.

Come to think of it I know only two couples - white women, black guy. You see a lot more white men with black women. And she had a white grandson. I've been there myself, I see it as no big deal.

Racism is flying high in my area unfortunately. White women who date black men are often seen as "white trash". I hate racism. I've always enjoyed men from other cultures. My ex-husband is Iranian and one of the sexiest guys I ever dated. However, my family viewed me as trash, dating beneath myself out of rebellion, etc. It caused a lot of stress and distance. And after some time, it was just easier to "go caucasian". However, I'm a big girl now and I make my own decisions, so I'll date whomever I choose and my family can like it or not.

As for why I don't date black men, well, frankly most of them I've seen are just not my type. But if Shemar Moore (actor from Criminal Minds) ever asked me out, mmmmmmmmm, I'd say yes before he could finish the question. Beautiful skin, superb bod and the sexiest bedroom eyes! He also seems intelligent and gentle. Nice qualities in a guy!
