Good morning pals.... I hope everyone has a lovely day today. I keep thinking about my mom who chose to go away on vacation this week. She was suppose to have bypass surgery, but she told me she wasn't sure she would go through with it. Anyway the doctor was concerned about her getting gangrene. She has diabetes, and a blocked artery in her leg. When someone tells you they lived a good life... well you just feel like they are giving up. She is 66. I'm hoping and praying she will have the surgery when she comes back next week. So this has been a concern that has weighed on my mind this week because I know the doc wanted her in his office this past Monday but she chose differently. All I can think of is the SERENITY PRAYER.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;

awww sorry to hear that, i havent had to go through that myself but i can only imagine how miserable you must be..

Buttons I just have had to accept that I can't change the things my Mom chooses to do. She had first had breathing issues from smoking and the docs warned her to quit, but she said "Everyone dies sometime" and she kept on smoking for awhile which landed her in the hospital many times because she now has COPD which means she has to have breathing treatments and oxygen with her. It's been a very long road, but a few years back I stayed with her in ICU while she was on a ventilator. They said she may only have 6 months to a year and she outlived that. It is really hard ACCEPTING the things I CAN NOT change, but I try to not allow it to make me miserable. I just pray and hope she finds the strength to tackle whatever she has to do. Maybe her vacation will give her that needed strength and desire to keep going.

this is true.. and a vacation may do her some good..if not im sure she still enjoyed having a vacation..

I just found out my ex father-in-law died today. I was so blessed to have great in-laws even though my marriage didn't work out. His life was a blessing. I hope everyone else is having a super dee duper day today!

Happy Tuesday Pals! It's been a busy day, always is when I am in the office.

Oh for heaven sake, I have to edit my post. I just got a call from the guy who is renting out the apartment I looked at on Sunday and loved. He didn't want to hold it, but decided that he would take $500 security and then hold it for me until July 1st! I am SOOO happy, it was a bit small, but I loved the location!!! Woo hoo!

HMM I got green Chili dip but no name the letter said from one end of the country to other.....
