Topic: feline mouth problem

my dad is confused and noticed this morning this old siamese cat had a big red inflammed lump, when my dad touches it it does not hurt the cat or the cat is not sensitive. It is very hard, in the back of the gum on the outside. Does anyone know or heard of this? is it cancer?

Strange that it doesn't hurt, maybe it's just a lump. Take it to the vet

Sounds like an abscess. Probably needs a tooth pulled and/or the abscess incised and drained by a vet and placed on some antibiotics

Please take the poor thing to a vet! There are places that are less expensive and do not need an appointment. It's best. I have seen what you have described enlarge greatly. You never know until a professional takes a look. I wish the cat, and you, good luck

Its not an abcess.x.. that would hurt like hell When they first start they aren't too terribly painful, but left untreated they become excruciating until they finally drain.

If it doesn't hurt, it could be a tumor lump. Whether it is cancer or not, take the cat to the vet. An abscess would make the cat sick.

I wish the cat, and you, good luck [/quote today my dad already scheduled an appointment for tommorrow morning at 9am the cat is in no pain but my dad is worried it could be cancerous

img between[] and then the image URL, then /img inside []. You have to upload the pic somewhere such as FileUpYours.com first.
