they should have to use showroom cars like they used to. Throw in a cage, get rid of restrictor plates and may the best driver win. Too much bs, I cannot even get into it.

they should have to use showroom cars like they used to. Throw in a cage, get rid of restrictor plates and may the best driver win. Too much bs, I cannot even get into it. yes but the show room cars have chips to cut them out at certain speeds but stock cars should be stock cars no doubt

Stock car racing never really was an ALL stock car. There was always modifications to the engines...suspensions and bodies to make them go faster. The first cars were moonshine runners that built-up there cars to out run the revenue officers. They were FAR from a show-room stock car. A true stock car would be JUNK on the track. It would also be way too dangerous at high speeds and a lot of drivers would die from the lack of a roll cage and the other thousands of safety changes that NASCAR implements to make the sport as safe as possible. If we all had cars built like a Nascar racer there would be only a quarter of the deaths on the highway but the cars would be too expensive to buy. The true stock cars are built as cheaply as possible to sell to the public for a profit. I would NEVER attempt tp race a true stock car. It would be a death sentence for sure!!!

It would be a death sentence for sure!!! which is why it would be fun to watch. the cars of the 70's were full steel cars iirc, and not some plastic heap desigend specifically to flow around a track.

Be my guest..hitting a solid concrete wall with no protection is not my kind of sport. Those looking for a morbid sport where people die in their quest for victory should look elsewhere. Nascar has matured past that and has proven that the quest for the checkered flag is enough of a reward for thew fans. The loss of Dale Earnhardt opened a lot of eyes and changed this sport forever. We yearn for competition .....not death.

Dale Sr.....Jr is out there making a name for himself right now. He switched to Hendricks this year and is doinf very well with the better equipment!!!!

Poor Denny had that race in the bag and lost fuel pickup AGAIN during the re-start!! Something is wrong with those gas tanks.
