Hey...Tony may have a good ride with the Toyota bunch the way the testing looks. Dale Jr. is kicking butts and taking names as well!! It will be VERY competitive this season and I personally think that Jimmy Johnson will have a lot more competition around him at the end of the races now. i would love to see him get smoked at Daytona!!

Lil E won't be any better next year than he was this year, unless NASCAR decides, once again, to change the rules to help the boy out. Look, lil E's just an average--at best--driver who's living off the rep his dad earned--that's right, people, EARNED! People who predict greatness for lil E based on who his daddy is is doing Dale, Sr. a gross injustice and showing a total lack of respect for what Sr. accomplished. Let Jr EARN his own way for once--judge him on his OWN merits, and don't merely cheer him based on his surname. And no, I'm NOT a Jr hater--I thought it was tragic and borderline criminal what his stepmother did to him--I just would like to see him be successful based on his own merits, and not be put upon a pedastal because of his father. |

Jr. has had an owner who would not spend a dime on technology...
My how one forgets how well he did do when Sr. was alive to manage the team, and the equipment... When he wasn't blowing up motors left and right... We will see just how average he is in the next two years, now that he has a team who truly wants to win... and takes the steps by spending what it takes to be competitive... I am still dumbfounded really... Jr... Johnson... Gorden... No one will touch this team... We will see just how average Jr. really is... |

You will be eating your words and everything else that spews out of your body when Jr. runs right up there with the best this season. Knox...you would make a TERRIBLE talent scout...You're fired...lol --------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, geez, another lil E "fan" who simply can't handle the truth. Tell you all what. As a public service provided by ole Knox himself, I'm gonna give you JR apologists a list of excuses to use when lil E shows us all ONCE AGAIN that he's nothing more than an average at best driver who happens to have a famous surname--a surname he did NOTHING to make famous, BTW. Feel free to use these when needed (most likely every week a NASCAR race is held). 1. The sun was in his eyes. 2. Racetrack conditions were terrible. 3. Weather was terrible. 4. Bad officiating. 5. Just wasn't "feeling it" today. 6. Bad pre-race BBQ. 7. Jimmie & Jeff are conspiring to make him look bad. 8. Ran out of gas. 9. Jessica Simpson was in the stands(hey, it worked for Romo). 10.Worried about his endorsements. And there you have it. You'll never have to admit JR isn't a very good driver now that you have these ready-made excuses. You're all welcome. |

ok, to not go with the spirit of things...
i hate nascar. and i hate how fox bought speedvision and turned it into 24 hour nascar. prior to this they had actual racing on, now they show nascar drivers in bobsleds and award programs for those associated with the truck series. some days that channel shows 14 hours or more of nascar, that's rediculous yay for mobile advertising |

This is exciting time, for Nascar. As we wait to see, which teams merge together. Its like taking 2 teams from the NFL and making it one. How often do we see that in sports?
As for favorite drivers, I root for the underdogs. Like: Michael Waltrip, or Kyle Petty. I wish them success, in the next phase of their racing career. But they're still active drivers... so might want to catch their farewell tour! |

He put too much on his plate by venturing out on his own and running a team as well as driving. Hopefully...he has his ducks in a row better now AND the Toyota teams have been producing much better cars that seem to be real competitive by the test speeds that we are seeing at daytona. This will be a real interesting year seeing all the changes and the influx of the open-wheelers trying to go straight to the top-step without starting in the lower ranks to get used to the cars and this completely different type of racing. |

first of all, id like to tip my glass to Sheryl, who will be in the best seat u can get when Daytona gets under way!! she is gonna give Jeff Gordan a "Heavanly" advantage, But i will still be rooting for Kyle Busch, even though he is not driving # 5 this year!!! godd luck to each and everyone of yur drivers, its almost 'boogity boogity" time aga in!!!

DUH!!! i for one don't watch pretty much all sports. think they're a bunch of spoiled primadanas and i hate how there is no real thing as a team, players come from all over the country and are loyal to money. and i'm still puzzled at what happed around 10 years ago to bring nascar from the redneck sport to a united states accepted and embraced sport. the only nascar races i ocassonaly watch are the ones where they're on road courses. that circile crap for hours is fairly boring. i say, put em in a f1 car and see how they do. it's whatever, i just wish my favorite channel wasn't turned into near 24 hour nascar. there's far more that goes on in the world of motorsport than just nascar. there's something seriously wrong with so much nascar, even repeats of races, yet speed will label a dtm race that's 6 months old as being new. they use to have rally, more than one showing of the le mans race, ice racing, long coverage of things like the dakar rally, f1, dtm, lots of v8 supercars... watch your billboards /rant |

He had the highest average speed! He went to daytona a week ahead of time just to gather info on what was going on with his new team. Jr. is more serious right now than other driver out there and he will win some races this year with the better equipment. The reports straight from DEI this year at the track have been that they cannot find the handle on the COT car. They have tried everything and only came away with a couple small improvements during all that testing. Maybe you should study the facts a little more instead of just belching disgusting smoke all over the place. I ask you again....who is YOUR driver???? I thought so....NONE.
