I had to look up the definition...
Ouroboros..."This familiar image of the serpent biting it's own tail is meant to imply infinity. Or, possibly, eternally being stuck in the material cycle." How ironic, I wear the symbol around my neck...the dragon swallowing it's tail... and yes...the string is becoming, another of it's self. |

I want to get an Ouroboros tattooed around my wrist, because instead of meaning infinity, to me it means self destruction. And that seems to be a reoccurring theme in my life, so why not have a symbol of it?

in Glory Road R.A. Heinlein has his Herculean character (who's name i've forgotten) counter Igli by inspiring him to an Ouroborian feat... he then jumps him and crushes the monster into itself, leaving nothing but a greasy smudge on his hands
self-destruction with a bit of outside assistance i'll drink to that |

I like the idea of living forever better.

Glory Road was an evvvvviiilll movie! (It made all Kentuckians look horrible). But living forever is over rated...thats why vampires are so emotional all the time

I think it was "Oscar gordon"? But star's "uncle rufo" (actually her grandson or great grandson) was my favorite charactor...
Heinlein made up some great villains and heros for his "circle of oroborous" but I didn't know "Glory Road" was made into a movie. Damn I'm not sure we are talking about the same story... did you say your is a vampire movie? I think that there were some kind of energy vampires in one or more parts of this book but they were minor charactors... the main part story was a fantasy quest with the object of saving the universes (multiverses).. |

Infinity...forever..never ending..constant..without bounderies..continuous..on and on and on...seems like an aweful long time to me. Finite, now there's something I can work with.

Love...it's like having my grandbaby today. A whole 8 hours by myself!! He was soooo good. He is a doll. He is still here tonight with his parents. They are spending the night with me. Woo hoo!
I am so proud of my daughter in law and my son. They are doing such a good job with him. He is nine months old and he is walking and eating solids very good. His chewing is great. He almost drinks by himself. He is almost weaned. He only takes the breast morning and at night now. The hospital put him on a pacifier (yuk) but they broke him from it really soon. He is saying a few words (a few) aaaauuuunnnnddd....he barked today! At my dogs after they barked. LOL. Kat |

Yeah, Oscar Goron sounds very right.
I forgot all about that vampirish business. It does sound as if this movie is rather different from the novel. |

Agnostic to the core....and ok with that.
Am I alone in having a certain comfort in the fact that I will never really know...embracing the mystery...but surrendering the solid answers that probably won't come until I transition? |
