The "Magpie Effect"
When my friend Rob and I used to go to the scrapyard together he would ALWAYS see the shiny stuff from a mile away and run for it. I termed it the Magpie Effect. I swear he has a tonne of stainless steel stashed at his place. |

We have the same term here, that, or Bowerbird...they have a real penchant for all things blue and/or shiny. And excellent mimics, as well as kleptomaniacs...they steal pegs, keys, all to decorate their bower, (nest)..
Glad to hear Urs is having a great day...and hello. |

Hi Lee
I find it amazing how much dog food a couple of magpies can steal in an hour. They'll tag team the dog and almost empty the entire bowl. |

I know what you mean...I thought our dog had bulimia...till I saw 6 magpies sitting in a wattle tree pretending they were reading the paper..

Everybody knows that when you paint things with your toes you’re bound to get a happy joyful mess! If only words were toes we could walk around in prose and our paths would be linguistically finesse Our lips would be unbound from the chore of making sound and kissing would evolve to take it’s place A world of osculation would arise in celebration and everyone you meet would suck your face ~~~ |

Oh Abra, you took a picture!!! Aren't we clever? (Actually you are)...
It is a lovely messy beautiful ceiling...just like us really... and we were careful with the light sockets. Walking around and kissing?? mmmm |

Words right out of my fingers, Sherrie...
Jenni... "i carry your heart" i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart) i am never without it(anywhere i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling) i fear no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet) i want no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart) ee cummings |

What if when they saw burning stars
They thought it was a gift from beyond far Look close between the lines Beyond what you believe to be real Are they just theories of time Chuck Schuldiner |

This is the thread that time forgot, or actually the time that threads forgot.. Beautiful poem, thankyou... Kick your shoes off, shed the outer adult, allow the inner child out to play...you are among playmates. |

Thanks.
It does seem to have it's own pace. That's good, because I don't do time. |
