This might seem petty to some of you, but please indulge me. Buttercup needs your special thoughts today. She is having surgery for numerous large kidney stones. I know this is a routine procedure, but she's my baby.

I called and checked on her again just before the vet's office closed. She woke up shortly before they left for the day and was standing up. She's not going to like being there overnight. It is so quiet in my house.  I will be bringing her home tomorrow.

**Buttercup Update**
Our girl is home, movin' slow as you might expect, hasn't left my side. They showed me the stones they took out of her...there were about 20, some the size of golf balls, said they would have eventually killed her. It bothers me that I didn't pick up on any warning signs. The next time you take your fur babies into the vet, have them check them out for kidney stones. They can tell by just palpating their kidneys and feel if there are any stones that won't pass and need to come out surgically. Buttercup sends big wet kisses to all for your positive thoughts and prayers and her mommy feels blessed to have such wonderful friends.
