This might seem petty to some of you, but please indulge me. Buttercup needs your special thoughts today. She is having surgery for numerous large kidney stones. I know this is a routine procedure, but she's my baby.

Thought she had a bladder infection, thought we were going in to get antibiotics, didn't expect to hear she needed surgery. Haven't stopped crying since I left her there.....silly, I know, but can't help it. She and I have been through a lot together. It kills me knowing she is probably hurting.

Just called, they are just closing her up. Vet said she had many large stones, but the surgery went well.
