 Yeah ! A lot of energy , time and thought invested in that one...huh...

Thanks. If we all stand together and make the necessary sacrifices, we can defeat TAPS (Totally Abominable Profile Syndrome) in our own lifetimes. I thought TAPS stood for Totally Asinine People Surfing.. OOPS. They disbanded when it turned out 87% of their members couldn't spell "asinine." |

I have some dislikes but mine sucks as well, I've never had any luck writing these things

People have asked me to help them with their profiles. But then they always say, "I don't want it to be 1400 pages long, though." Which completely baffles me. How can you write a good profile in less than 1400 pages....??

Not really a turn off, but I laugh when I see something similar to this....... I like staying in or going out. I'm laid back but energetic. I like to relax on the couch or take a walk. Pick one already!

Things dont bother me about other peoples profiles. I find more meaningful things to be pissed off about!!!

What are some of the things you have noticed that you like and dislike that people have mentioned in their profiles, or even things that you have seen from their pics? Feel free to give a reasoning behind your answer. There are so many variations on a theme
I think most of it has been covered here ...
but if not...
I think that people should be very specific in their profiles...
I know that I most certainly surely have been in mine ...
I don't do much searching these days ,
I'm too busy and involved in my own life
so i let the guys find me for the most part//
they either really become my friend
or they hang themselves
and i really love it when i get a message like
"Oh...Your profile is sooooooooo long "
and i say " well You sure as hell don't have to read it
& with that attitude & level of energy & incentive 
...I don't want you to read it anyway "
Or then i get the flip side of that
They tell me "It took me three days to read your profile "
or then i get the really brilliant response
"oh can you tell me about yourself ?
And i think " oh my God..." What is happening to this planet...
why is communication so flipping difficult ?
Why can't something ever go really right ?
I wrote a flipping book about myself in my profile
but you want me to tell you something about me!!!> 
or did you not even skim over my profile
and just want to leer at my picture ??? 
But then ...
there are some men who are so classy & so awesome and masculine
& chivalrous & soo very real & soo very loving & respectful of women
they are soo right on & command such authority
with just their presence & that is a sign of a real man
and They make up big time for all the lowlives & losers

I think people need to be really specific in what we want & don't want
& not be too easy going cause many people often take advantage of that 
they perceive it as weakness , vulnerability & unsuredness 
It's taken me a long time to really acquire a nice sharp edge
but it is quick & cuts to the chase & wastes little time
and separates the wheat from the chaff pretty nicely
cause i don't want to be with someone not meant for me

I like well-written profiles that give some insight into the person's life. It's really the only way to find out if we have something in common. If he has no profile, I don't bother because I don't even know what to talk about.
I back out of any profile that begins with "No drama, no games" or the ones that state, "I'm happily married, just looking for some discreet fun." Excuse me but if you were truly happily married, you'd find some fun right there in your marriage. If the guy is pictured on a Harley, BIIIIIIG turn-on!! BIIIIIIIIIIG! If he's pictured with a warm-blooded animal, another BIIIIIG turn-on. If he says, "My kids come first," I'm outta there. Sorry, but his kids should be grown and out of the house so I can come first...and last too.
