Topic: “Mandatory Volunteerism”… Is this a repeat of history? | |
---|---|
In the guidelines, near the bottom of the plan, it specifically states Service is Mandatory. It can't be explained away, too many people have copied it.
Got a question. The final bill lists generalizations. In the outline covers specifics on what type of kids will fit into the Corporations guidelines. Lets talk about those kids, the misfits, juvenile delinquents, developmentally disabled, kids too old to be adopted, homeless kids. In my imagination, I cannot see them applying to become wards of the Corporation. How, aside from rounding them up and putting them into Corporate Servitude, do you believe they could be enticed to Voluntarily apply for Servitude? |

I read both the outline and the final plan, for myself. I don't prescribe to her interpretation. I have a mind of my own. Please, use your limited attempt at whit and insults for others. I have no problem reporting harassment and insults. |

People have to apply to it. 180 days after the bill is finalized, they are going to campaign (that means commercials, etc.) to encourage people of all ages to volunteer full/part-time, long/short-term. Yes, talk about the kids. You are talking about the definition that they gave for disadvantaged youth. They also have the definition of baby boomer - 1946-1964. They have the definition of veterans too. They have so many definitions that it gets boring. All ages can sign up for this. They have a program for people over 55 and the Vet Program too. They have quite a few programs. |

Again, referring to page 285.
The effect on the Nation, on those who serve, and on the families of those who serve, if all individuals in the United States were expected to perform national service or were required to perform a certain amount of national service. Key words, expected to perform and required to. The final bill was passed in accordance to the recommendations set forth in the guidelines. Volunteering is a Service that's not monetarily compensated. |

Volunteering is a Service that's not monetarily compensated. I found it. It's where they talk about having an advisory panel of Congress to see how it benefits society, personal benefits, satisfaction. They will discuss if existing databases are effective. They will discuss whether or not a workable fair service required volunteering could be developed. They will discuss what constraints non-profit organizations have. And more.... They are the topics that Congress will talk about. The rate of pay, I believe, is referring to the Commission and not the volunteers. The volunteers get compensated with money, health care (if they're uninsured) and secondary education. I couldn't find anything about it being mandatory on the final bill. |
