Topic: So Annoying..... | |
---|---|
the sad thing Lurch is that it needs to be said. You would think by now, being adults they would know that ..... Agreed! Thing is that people are too busy worrying about themselves and not caring about others... Goes back to the old adage that it takes a village to raise a child... Just because the children of yesterday are the adults of today doesn't mean that the learning/teaching should stop. We are never so grown that there isn't room for improvement. Give respect and pay forward what has already been given... I know and agree that it shouldn't have to be said but it is like saying "I love you"... if your actions tell the person you love them should you still say the words? In my opinion you should as the other person may not read your actions the way you hope they do but if you tell them how it is then you know without a doubt they know it. It may reiterate the point but at least they understand. So, my friend... I have love in my heart for you and respect the things you do for all of us here. Thank you!! I agree with you 110%. |

The lack of respect I have seen over past week makes me sick to my stomach. I can not believe sometimes this is an Adult Site. The childish games, name calling, and belittling of others really pisses me off. How some of you can sleep at night amazes me. We are in the middle of war, the biggest economic crisis we have ever seen, and should be compassionate toward one another, YET some think they are better for whatever reason..... When you can walk in someone Else's shoes and see life as they do, When you are so perfect, that no one compares to your greatness, When you have no wants, no problems, then you my friend are God. Until, then learn some manners, show some respect, and compassion for others. Here here my bald brother!!! |

Kojack is a man who really knows what being respectful to women is all about. People could learn a lot by listening to him.

There is a decent way to say whatever is on your mind. If you avoid blatently insulting somebody and well word what you feel, then only the people looking to be insulted will take offense.
That being said, there are angry people who just want to anger others. Those people really need to find another outlet. |

Funny how one's memory runs deep when having been on the same site for a very long time, with some posters.
I can remember a time when a particular poster hooked up with another poster in Las vagas...they had a blast! The posting back and forth between these two, was a sure fire example of the good times they had together...right down to the old saying, "What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas". Funny thing was, one of the guys had a girlfriend...and the banter between these two blokes was hurting her, compounding doubts, insecurities... I didn't see any of this respect thing, nor this compassion thing shown then....at ALL. Own your own stuff people, before spouting off to others. |

Some people around here are not getting kojack's very important message to the populace here. A guy was rudely commenting on my anatomy just now and I am deeply offended. The situation has been dealt with however some men still need to learn how to respect women instead of treating women as purely sex objects. It is demeaning and shows how crude some cretins can be. Thank God for all of the considerate and respectful men I have as friends. Helps me to remember there really are gentlemen in this world of ours. I love all of you, my friends.

While I agree the lack of respect is annoying, and Scott (kojack) Bless him does a great job at diffusing situations as do some of the other mods. I think we should all keep in mind that not everyone is going to get along and like each other. If you are a frequent forum poster you are bound to pick up both friends and detractors. I personally have someone that if they are on and I post will make a point of coming behind me and posting something derogatory no matter what I say. So my advise is to take it all with a grain of salt. Some people live to try and get reactions out of people, it is their goal in life. If you let them get to you, you are just feeding their need for attention. I know it is hard to ignore comments that strike you as rude or hurtful, I have fallen into this trap myself although I did it privately and not in a forum. And while some people have the ability to make you chew your tongue bloody holding it, it is still better than egging them on by acknowledging them~ Live and let Live....the ones being hurtful end up hurting no one but themselves.

I hear you, sister! The men don't need to be acting like pigs. They wonder why women are so jaded. |

i took a hiatus from m2 for awhile, but i'm back and imagine that, some people are still rude and belittling, etc., the bottom line, this is a melting pot of people, the same things we see in people offline are going to be found online. what is sad is that online makes it easier for some to be that way, hiding behind their profile seems to give them some secret power. kojak is so right, there's way too much negativity going on in the world right now to bring it on here. it's a shame some people can't check their attitudes at the door and just show some kindness and respect. i have a few great friends on here who would always have my back; means much more than trying to win some popularity contest, especially if it's by being some kind of cyber bully. Let love rule!

No matter where you go there will always be people that thrive on negative vibes.
Even when I am in a pissy mood I try to keep the idea that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. This site is suppose to be upbuilding and positive. |
