Let's face it...there will always be personalities that we don't get along with, whether it be in cyber or in RL. What does it take for you to just call a spade a spade...STFU...& LET IT GO?

I've got a "friend" who is a constant smart azz & nit-picker...she just can't STFU! It's getting to the point where I just may have to let her go...

There is a younger guy at work like that. Last night I was looking around for my boss and he said what the hell are you looking at? I told him STFU obviously I wasn't looking for you and for your information I am a grown woman and you are still a child so watch how you speak to me! He didn't say anything back.

DAMN Straight! There comes a time in everyone's life that you have to tell someone to just STFU!

Sometimes you you just have to slap them and tell them to get their heads out of their hineys. Some will say OK and thanks, others will say WTF. You have to make the choice if you want to stay around them.

Last week I completely went off on once of my best friends of 25 years. I had enough of her bellyaching and let her know it. She just stopped for a second and said" Ok, sorry. I didn't realize I was being an idiot". We're good now.

Oh no no no. You are very wrong. We should all get along and when that happens, rainbows will shoot out of our eyes and we'll fart butterflies.

The last thing I farted was screaming yellow monkeys...but hey...that's another story...

I thoroughly agree that there is a time & a place to finally put your foot down...but what I'm really talking about is: When do you finally realize 1)This person will always annoy me, 2)This person will always be a nit-picker, whiner, b!tcher, etc... 3)They are really not worth the sweat off my azz & I am powerless to control them, & finally 4)I am just gonna let that crap go cuz it's only affecting me & life is just too freakin' short...???

When I have contemplated at least 7 ways to maim or murder them. Then it is time to say enough.

You mean you have a friend who is negative and sucks the life out of you?

I dropped one of those about four years ago and my life is WAY better! I actually have more friends now that she is gone. OMG I got so sick of her bytching!

What does it take? About 2.2 seconds and half a chance.

I've let plenty of 'em go in the past...will have no problem cutting the line on this one, too... Just another topic to talk about... The Fork it or Dork it threads are too tiresome for me...

If they are bothering you, why not remove yourself from the situation and not let it bother you? That would be the right thing to do, to me.

Sometimes you're forced to tolerate the ones that annoy you...if you want to play in the playground...

Naw...I don't play in those playgrounds then. I'd find a different one.

I've been away from "family", mother dead, for a long time. Disowned one sister and two brothers. In the process of running off another brother. He needed a place to go and I thought he'd quit drinking. Seems he only quit because of no money. Sunny beaches will one day learn, stay away means just that.
I left that life many years ago and have no desire to bring to my front door.
I feel alllll better now.

Why would someone have a friend in the first place that is negative, idiotic, etc, etc?

Sometimes life is pretty sh*tty, and throws some crap at us...that's when being a friend counts..support is not rescuing, nor is it enabling, it is allowing the other to feel 'safe' with you, for them to be able to look at their challenges, and sometimes, with a little courage from you, to do something about them.

If you are not being honest with yourself, why would people trust you to be honest with them?

I always call it how I see it... if it's delusional bullsh*t, it's exactly that...

Sometimes truth hurts....but that's what NOT playing 'NICE' is...being honest.

I have found on here several times when someone is being rude to another person, making inappropriate and ugly comments towards them, and they do not step up and say something to the one being ugly then I will butt in and say something to that person myself.

I am a pretty patient person and it takes alot of p!ss me off, but don't attack another person and treat them like a doormat.

Last year I had a roommate like that. Constantly bi*tching about everything you could imagine. I finally found a male roommate and my life is much more calm.

Those people are toxic people....you shouldn't allow them in your life, they will constantly try to pull you down and make you unhappy.
