I believe the Bible says not to put anything in your body that is harmful. You body is a temple...to honor and cherish it. Kat Just imagine living like that, no drinking, no smoking, no drugs, wearing an air mask to be outside, filtering your water and air in your home, only eating organic food, no fried food, no sweets, etc I know I am forgetting stuff but in order to not put anything harmful in our bodies we would almost have to live in a bubble with only healthy food and filtered air and water. |

![]() Smoking is an insult to the fact that your lungs were created to breathe air not smoke. If you value your life, and your breathe, why would you smoke? My friend just quit smoking. I didn't even notice it because for me, not smoking is the natural state of being. But she quit not because of her health but because of the recent rise in the cost of cigarettes because if the rise in taxes. She decided she would not be ripped off further so she quit. Probably the wrong reason to quit, but if it works, more power to her. Just quit. Don't be a slave. ![]() |

It is hard to know what might be 'harmful' to our health. One day its one thing and the next day they tell us its another thing. But some things we KNOW are harmful. Alcohol for one. When I repeatedly would get a headache and have a hangover, I got the hint. Smoking is bad of course because the lungs were made for breathing oxygen, not smoke. Lack of enough oxygen can also cause brain damage and Alzheimer's disease too. So breathe deeply and live long. If you want to know how refined sugar can harm you read the book "Sugar Shock." If you value living and want to live healthy you would not knowingly consume harmful things. BUT the most harmful thing of all is your thoughts. Here are the things that cause aging in the order of their importance: 1. THE THOUGHTS THAT YOU THINK. 2. The air that you breathe 3. The water that you drink 4. The food that you eat 5. Your daily routine, how you move or : Exercise or lack thereof. |

Do believe smoking is a sin as the bible says? What about someone that has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and do try to live their life to please Him, but smokes cigarettes? Some christians say that their not saved because they smoke. What do you all say about this? Smoking is unhealthy, God does not want us to destroy ourselves, so yes, it is a sin. |
