You think spitting on someone is acceptable behaviour as well? ![]() So anyone who gets insulted by another should be allowed to assault in return and run off scott-free? And be rewarded for it? If someone was directly responsible for murdering my family my neighbours, my culture.... I would drop my daks and urinate on them, after I threw my shoes, your shoes, and spat on him. Keep it in context.... does the shoe throwing crime fit the crime done by Bush? |

he is supposedly a journalist. why didn't he just write something critical? ![]() i think the punishment should fit the crime. he should get a "time-out"! IN THE CORNER! and have to go to bed without any bedtime story!! ![]() that would learn him! ![]() |

Keep it in context.... does the shoe throwing crime fit the crime done by Bush? I bet I would too (as this man did) But I would fully expect to be punished by law (as this man was) |

Who's the coward that gave him 3 years? A shoe will never never never compensate for Bush's deeds. Never!!

Is he a criminal? I think criminal implies something serious, but, nevertheless he had to be punished not bc of physical damage done by the shoe, but bc the shoe is an insult, and no one can really afford to insult the US right now. Not jailing him would show support for him. Its much easier to jail one man than give cause for the us to take more action, such as getting complicated in international law. I personally am not a fan of bush, but there is no way the journalist threw the shoe without knowing there would be a consequence.

Muntazer al-Zaidi. was found guilty and sentenced to 3 years in prison. I think he deserves the medal of freedom. He assaulted a United States President. The End. |
