Huh? I hate to be the one to tell you this Inkster - but everyone walking on the planet is going to die.
Thank you, Captain Obvious. And other than Stephen in the bible - where would I find examples of all this "stoning" going on? You're really big on this. Give us a few examples to support this theory of yours that God's got all these people "gettin stoned".
Exodus 19:13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. Deuteronomy 13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Deuteronomy 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die. Deuteronomy 22:21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you. Hebrews 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Numbers 15:36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses. Joshua 7:25 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. 1 Kings 21:13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died. need any more? |

A man is born and spends his entire life free from sin, helping and loving others. He doesnt commit even one little sin. Never smokes, drinks, cusses, steals, lusts after another woman, etc... He doesnt even THINK about these things. He is unaware of any religion, and therefore has no reason to repent or accept Jesus as his savior. Is he going to hell? If the dudes human and got no idea of lust, drinking and cussing... He been LIVING in hell. |

I would like to hear a logical explanation for that one from a Christian who is still waiting for Jesus to come back and get them. Seriously. It's called dispensationalsm. However - I don't feel the need at this time to point out to Abra that he's just a tad off in his biblical exegesis. A simple examination of the dozens of threads that Tribo posted on this topic will clarify it for him. Forgive my ignorance. Dispensationalsm? I don't know what that is. Biblical exegesis? Sorry, I don't comprehend that language. I think what both Abra and Tribo were saying is that the Bible clearly indicates that all the prophecies have already been fulfilled. In plain English it simply means, that the savior came and went, and then returned already and he isn't coming again. It's my understanding that Tribo was indeed holding out the belife that the rapture had already occurred. For me the point is quite simple. Christians keep screaming "READ THE BIBLE! READ THE BIBLE!" Fine. So I read the Bible and report back what I've read and they turn a blind eye to it. As far as I can see the Bible does not support the delusions that Christians hold and proselytize. It is Crystal Clear in the authors of the gospels have Jesus claiming that everything he is speaking of will be fullfilled before the current generation passes, the generation of the people he is speaking to live. There is no where in the gospels where Jesus instructs anyone to write anything down for future generations. It just isn't there. As the gospels are written Jesus is speaking directly to the masses and to his diciple in real-time, and they are just reporting what he is saying to them and preaching to the masses. And what they have reported is that he had told them repeatedly and in no uncertain terms that everything he is prophezisng will come to pass before THEIR generation passes! That's what's actually written in the Bible! Christian keep screaming that we need to read the Bible and they when we do they make light of what we read and pass it off WITHOUT SERIOUS CONSIDERATION. How rude is that? I've done what they ask. I've read the Bible and reported back that it doesn't say what they claim it says. And now they just want to pass that off by referring to some preverious posted who posted months ago and actually agreed with my points? That's just blatant AVOIDANCE. The truth is that the gospels clearly state in no uncertain terms that Jesus told the people he was talking to that all the things he was propheizing would come true before THEIR generation passes. In fact, as the story goes, Jesus did indeed come back within their generation. He supposedly RESSURECTED FROM THE DEAD! Excuse me but that constitutes COMING BACK! Moreover the gospel of Matthhew also says that following: [49] The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. [50] Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. [51] And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; [52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, [53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. So when Jesus was crucified he wasn't the only one who was resurrected. Matthew clearly states that many bodies of the saints which slep arose and went into the holy city and appeared unto many. Well, there's the rapture right there! The saints were going around collecting all the people who would be taken up into the heavens. So if we trust the word of the Bible we must conclude that the rapture has already taken place within the generation that wrote about it just like Jesus said it would I mean, how can you deny this? This is precisely what the Bible says. The Bible doesn't say anywhere that Jesus told anyone to write this down for future generations. He told them that all these things would come to pass before their generation passed! That's what the Bible says in no uncertain terms. So now it's my turn to tell the Christians, "READ THE BIBLE!" Clearly they haven't been doing a very good job of it if they think that Jesus hasn't come back yet, or that he claimed that he was going to come back at any other time other than before the generation passed that he was speaking to! The Christians are making stuff up that the Bible simply doesn't support! It's ridiculous to claim that Jesus might be coming back now. That wasn't what he even preached. He preached that he would come back before the generation passed that he was actually preaching to! So Christianity is a dead religion. Their doctrine doesn't even support their delusions. Don't ever tell anyone to read the Bible! They just might take you up on it and realize the TRUTH that Christianity has it all wrong! The Book just doesn't support the religion. Period. |

[49] The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
Wow Abra! I had never read that. That certainly does sound like judgment day and the rapture. The way judgment day was always described I envisioned zombies crawling out of their graves like in some scary movie. It sounded really creepy to me. In the tarot, you will see for "judgment" people rising up out of their graves. We just designed a new Judgment for our future deck. Here is a sneak preview: |

You need to do like the Christians say and read the Bible. That's the only way you'll ever discover that the Christians have it all wrong. They always speak of the ressurrection of Jesus. Like as if he was unique and the only ressurrection. But the Bible clearly has many spirits ressurrecting with with and going into the cities to meet with people. Well, why would they be doing that if not to collect the harvest for God? Surely they didn't just go into the city just so shoot the breeze with the crowds. I just don't see where the Bible support Chrsitainity. It doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that Jesus asked anyone to write anything down for future generations. And it clearly has Jesus stating that everything he is predicting will come to pass before the current generation of the people he was addressing passed. So why anyone would expect Jesus to be coming back some 2000 years later is beyond me. There is absolutely no indication anywhere in these stories of that. It simply isn't what the stories state. If we actually READ the Bible like the Christians suggest then we can clearly see that Christianity is a religion that has no Biblical basis whatsoever. That's the truth. |

Abra wrote and I quote:
"...It is Crystal Clear in the authors of the gospels have Jesus claiming that everything he is speaking of will be fullfilled before the current generation passes, the generation of the people he is speaking to live..." OK Abra....... Jesus RETURNED unto his diciples THEN...YES.... BUT.... LISTENING HERE?? Ok...here goes..... JESUS RETURNED unto Them as He PROMISED....as the COMFORTER (God said I will not leave you comfortless)....... in the 3RD PERSON OF THE GODHEAD...... CALLED THE HOLY GHOST!!!!!! ALSO....GO BACK AND READ WHAT HAPPENED AT PENTACOST.... THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVED MIGHTILY IN THAT PLACE........ BY ALSO FILLING UP THAT PLACE....... AND FILLING UP ALL THAT WERE PRESENT !!!!!! NOTICE AS YOU READ......AFTERWARDS..... THE DICIPLES WENT ABOUT SPEAKING BOLDLY....CAUSE THEY WERE NOT ONLY NOW FILLED WITH T THE HOLY SPIRIT(COMFORTER)....BUT WERE ALSO EMPOWERED(ENDUED) WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH!!!! BUT...CHRIST COMING BACK TO THEM ...AS THE COMFORTER ....... IS NOT NOT NOT REFERRING TO THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST....WHICH IS STILL TO COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND BTW, NO MAN KNOWS THE HOUR...NO MAN..... WHEN CHRIST HIMSELF SHALL RETURN. NO MAN!!!!!!!! THAT EVENT IS STILL TO COME!!!!! READ THE WHOLE REST OF THE BIBLE TO GET A CLEAR PICTURE!! ALSO.....ONCE MORE...PEOPLE NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT , IN ORDER TO RIGHTLY INTERPRET SCRIPTURES!!! |

So you see.....
The Holy Spirit not only comes to INDWELL a believer (which happens the VERY instance one is born again)..... But..... the Holy Spirit will ALSO FILL UP a beleiver !!!!!! BUT... here's the thing.... a beleiver has to WANT TO become filled...... and has to WANT TO DESIRE MORE of GOD !!!!! And When a believer TRULY DESIRES MORE OF GOD....... and gets into God's PRESENCE........ and asks God to FILL him up? Do you think God will say NO???? Of course not..... So ....Believers out there...do you want MORE OF GOD????!!!? THEN ASK GOD TO FILL YOU UP WITH THE HOLY GHOST!!! AND HE WILL!!!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!! |

I've seen someone very close to me (my sister) become "Born Again"... I guess she needs a do-over, cause it didn't take. I'm not asking for instructions on how to do it the "right" way... Consider this... You believe that one MUST be Born Again to save themself. You believe this to be true for YOU. Since you believe this is true for you, you will only see your truth as truth for every other human alive. This means you won't allow yourself to really see anyone else but yourself. That's just not love. |

GOD NOT ONLY GAVE HIS SON JESUS TO SAVE US....
BUT ALSO TO GIVE US LIFE AND A LIFE MORE ABUNDANT!!! AND FREE!!! GOD THRU HIS HOLY SPIRIT ..... NOT ONLY COMES TO INDWELL A BELEIVER ... BUT ALSO WANTS TO FILL UP AND EMPOWER A BELEIVER..... SO THAT BELIEVER CAN NOW BE AN OVERCOMER..... OF EVERYTHING THAT HAS HELD HIM BACK IN LIFE..... AND BE ABLE TO NOW LIVE VICTORIOUS... AND JOYFUL AND FRUITFUL AND PRODUCTIVE LIVES ON THIS EARTH!!!! LISTEN FOLKS..... THERE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE TO THIS NEW LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS.......... THEN JUST GETTING SAVED!! |

That's great you feel that way Morningsong.....when you find a really great pair of shoes, you tell your friends...and then you RESPECT them when they say, they like the shoes on you, but they aren't their style or taste for themselves.
I'll walk a mile in your shoes, if you walk a mile in my bare feet. |

ok, this is an honest question. I keep hearing about Christians that proselytize. I hadn't heard this word until I started in these forums. But by definition...aren't most of the people doing just that in here as well?
