not a conversation?

Answer: When it's a monologue.

Is there someone in your life that has not mastered the art of true conversation? Someone that will occasionally let you slip in a syllable or maybe a word like yes or okay every now and then? Someone who you desperately wish has an off switch? Preferably a remote control operated one for phone phone conversations?

There are people who listen and then there are those who wait for their turn to talk.

This describes my last roommate. I had to move out it was so bad.

We have similar ideas. drinker

I tend to lump people into two broad categories.

Category one: Those that listen to what you have to say and respond.

Category two: Those that wait for you to pause (or maybe not) and jump right back in with both feet. They rarely ever wait their turn.

Nope, can't say that I do, then again I'm a listener, I like to listen to people talk for some reason.

I'm describing my ex-wife... I can put the phone down go get myself a drink then to the bathroom. Pick the phone back up and say "uh huh." She never knows I'm gone. I've done it in front of friends. It is quite funny.

I see you have spoken to my Mother. Next time, if you can get a word in edgewise, send her my best wishes. rofl
